LINKING LIVES

Gender inequality and the climate crisis are urgent global challenges that disproportionately affect women and girls, particularly in vulnerable regions. In response, Breakthrough Movement launched the “Linking Lives: Gender and Climate” campaign on October 4, 2024. This initiative is a collaboration between Breakthrough and the EmPower Programme, supported by UN Women and UNEP.

In celebration of International Women's Day 2025, in collaboration with UN Women and UNEP, Breakthrough Movement is launching the Linking Lives Podcast series on Breakthrough's social media platforms. This campaign highlights the leadership and resilience of women in climate action, particularly those from marginalized communities.

The Linking Lives Podcast aims to amplify women's voices at the forefront of the climate change, providing a platform to share their stories, challenges, and transformative solutions.

outreach activities

Our outreach activities empower university students and women in communities across our target areas by introducing key concepts of gender, gender-related issues, and climate change. We raise critical awareness of how gender and climate change are deeply interconnected, emphasizing the real impacts on people's lives. Through dynamic, participatory sessions, we amplify women’s leadership, celebrate their solutions, and strengthen their role as powerful agents of climate action and resilience.
