HENG BODALIN

Co-founder

Heng Bodalin is a dedicated advocate for gender equality, women's empowerment, and youth leadership. As a co-founder of Breakthrough Movement, she plays a pivotal role in promoting women’s leadership, peacebuilding, and addressing gender-based violence in Cambodia and Southeast Asia. With strong skills in organizing events, mobilizing youth, and community engagement, Heng Bodalin is a powerful voice for social change. She actively represents Breakthrough at local, national, and regional platforms, inspiring youth and driving progress toward a more inclusive and equitable society.

Bodalin grew up in a warm and supportive family that always encouraged her to be kind, brave, and confident in every action she takes. However, her parents' concern for her safety as a girl, especially when going out, shaped her strong commitment to advocating for women's rights. Driven by a desire to end all forms of violence against women and girls, she is dedicated to creating a safe and fair society for everyone.

Beyond her studies, Dalin actively volunteers for women’s empowerment and gender equality initiatives. This passion led her to co-found Breakthrough Movement, alongside 10 other inspiring young women, to challenge societal norms and raise awareness on critical issues facing women in Cambodia. Although the journey has been challenging, Dalin believes that change begins now and with individuals who are ready to make a difference.
